Oundle for Organists
appoints Robert Quinney as new Director
Oundle for Organists marks its twenty-fifth year of nurturing the talent of young organists with some significant changes in programming and personnel.
Now under the banner of Oundle Music Trust, which also incorporates the Oundle International Festival, Oundle for Organists says farewell to its innovative founder, organist James Parsons, and welcomes Robert Quinney as its new Director.
Winner of the Royal College of Organists Performer of the Year competition in 2002, Robert Quinney has been Sub-Organist of Westminster Abbey since 2004, and runs in parallel an extensive freelance career as a soloist, writer on music and continuo player.
Robert’s association with Oundle for Organists began as a student in 1991, and he returned as a tutor in 2007. He has many exciting ideas for the development of Oundle for Organists and its role as a leader in organ education in this country.
