Many students gain some financial help from their school/church/local organists' association. However we never like to turn anyone away who really should be benefiting from the Oundle experience but who may genuinely not be able to manage the course fees. Thanks to generous benefactors and trust funds we are often able to subsidise the cost, and advise about further possible sources of assistance. The Royal College of Organists (RCO) is also able to assist in providing bursaries for students to attend courses such as those at Oundle. In the first instance, please send any application for a bursary to Oundle for Organists, where it will be assessed. Where appropriate, applications will be automatically forwarded to the RCO for their independent assessment. Please note that the forwarding of a bursary application to the RCO does not guarantee an award. All bursary applications must be received at Oundle no later than Friday 9th April.
Pastoral Care
At all Oundle for Organists courses pastoral care
by experienced staff is a vital feature of the
arrangements. All pastoral staff and tutors
provide CRB Advanced Notices of Disclosure.
Awards
Oundle courses are non-competitive but the tutors
assess your standard, progress and potential.
Awards are offered to provide far-reaching benefits:
Books and scores: all students receive books,
scores and magazine subscriptions thanks to the
generosity of sponsors and individual supporters.
Platform Concerts: students will be invited to play
in an end-of-course composite recital which will
take place in Oundle School Chapel on Sunday
25th July at 2.30pm.
Organ recitals around the UK: each year we offer selected students the opportunity to play at churches, schools and colleges throughout the UK. Local organists, incumbents and parishioners provide a warm welcome, and also travel expenses (within the UK) as minimum remuneration.
OBSERVERS
Once again Oundle is offering places for Observers at
the courses in July. This is a popular option for adult
organists, teachers and music lovers, offering a
stimulating break in friendly company.
We ask that Observers make their own accommodation
arrangements but we will be pleased to provide help
in finding local B & Bs or hotels if requested. The
Observer's fee covers lunch and supper, and entry
to all Oundle International Festival concerts during
their stay.
Please write or phone to register interest in being an
Observer at Oundle in July. Fees can be on a daily
or weekly basis.
Advance booking is essential and we may require Notice
of Disclosure in line with our Child Protection Policy.
