Thurning – Church of St James the Great
A great sense of humour and amazing virtuosity are the
primary features of this wonderfully entertaining pair, the Classic Buskers.
Their ingenious, often irreverent interpretations of the classical
repertoire are produced on more than 40 woodwind
instruments. Ranging from recorders, flutes,
panpipes, crumhorns and ocarinas to a pico pipe
and a rubber trout, they are accompanied by a
small but perfectly formed accordion,
either pink or yellow.
A great show from two extremely
talented classically trained
musicians, and a must for those
who know a little about classical
music (listen out for an endless
stream of musical jokes)
or indeed for anybody
who simply appreciates
wit and wants to be
entertained.
