Organising these concerts in the run
up to Oundle International Festival in
July is always exciting. Virtuoso musicians,
inspiring churches, lovely stone villages
and the promise of early summer… it's
a magical combination.
This year we offer a diverse programme
of concerts, from the burgeoning young
talent of Morgan Szymanski to the well
established reputation of the Collegium
Regale singers; from the vibrance of
ZUM, to the serenity of Sirinu, and with
the light-hearted comedy piano duo, Katzenjammer,
every concert has something different
to offer.
Plus, this year we are trialing two
additional Autumn concerts - while the
weather is (hopefully) still warm enough
- and we look forward to your feedback
on whether we should pursue this again!
Our thanks as always go to the churches
for hosting the concerts and for offering
everyone a warm welcome.
Refreshments will usually be available
during the intervals, provided by members
of the church and with the income going
to church funds.
Car parking may be found near to the
church, but could be on unlit streets.
Toilet facilities are available at Nassington
and King's Cliffe churches.
Remember that pews are often hard -
please do bring a cushion if you wish.
Disabled concert-goers are welcome at
all our concerts. For assistance with
access or for more information about
the churches please telephone 01780 470297.
Music in Quiet Places is grateful to
Loch Fyne Restaurant, Elton, for their
continuing support of the series in the
form of Gift Vouchers to be awarded as
raffle prizes at each concert.
MIQP reserves the right to make any
changes to the programme that may prove
necessary.
Promoted by Oundle International Festival
with financial assistance from East Northamptonshire
Council, Northamptonshire County Council
and Arts Council England.
