Sorry, this concert is now sold out.
Gear up for excitement and fun as the world’s premier tribute band – The Bootleg Beatles – comes to Oundle. This internationally famous group, which was formed in 1980, has developed its own contemporary audience. They will be keeping the magic and spirit of The Beatles alive in a spectacular two hour stage production featuring all the classic Beatles hits, from the early songs to the later anthems.
'With a little help from' their regular brass and string ensemble, the show traces the history of the Fab Four, beginning with Liverpool's Cavern Club, through Sgt Pepper to The Apple Rooftop. From She Loves You to Penny Lane, from Hey Jude to All You Need is Love, you just wo n’t believe it isn’t The Beatles.
The Manfreds will need no introduction to anyone who ‘was there’ in the 60s. Original Manfred Mann members Paul Jones, Mike Huggand Tom McGuinness, and former member Mike d’Abo, are joined by Rob Townsend, Marcus Cliffe and Simon Currie as the exciting line-up of this 1960s band.
Since The Manfreds re-formed in 1991 they have been in constant demand throughout the world…not surprising considering the number of their top ten hits, including 5-4-3-2-1, Do Wah Diddy, Pretty Flamingo and The Mighty Quinn.
The OGs will be strutting their stuff from 5.30pm, setting the scene with their own take on the 60s in true ‘Oundle’ style. Time to polish up The Twist – or maybe the Mash Potato is more your thing? Whatever it is, you’ll have the chance to show how it should really be done with this fab band.
The whole evening is brought to a thrilling finale with a fireworks display like no other, from 1605 Fireworks of King’s Cliffe.
