YOUNG ORGANISTS
PRESENTATION RECITAL
2.30pm Oundle School Chapel
Tickets £7 / £5 under 21s
For twenty five years Oundle for Organists has proved
an influential movement in training and nurturing young
organists – from primary school ages through university/
conservatoire and on into professional musical careers.
Since the inception of Festival and summer schools, with
the iconic Frobenius organ always centre-stage, over
2,000 students have enjoyed and benefited from an Oundle
course, whether here in Oundle, elsewhere in the UK,
or even in France.
During Festival week up to 25 students attend courses
for teenage organists: ‘Exploring New Repertoire’ and ‘Style & Technique’.
Join us to hear how they’ve been getting on!
Live video link from the organ loft will enable the audience to see the performers.
The recital ends at 4pm.

RICHARD III
“Now is the winter of our discontent
Made glorious summer by Oddsocks”
Internationally touring theatre company Oddsocks makes a welcome return to Oundle with their Summer 2009 production of Richard III.
The mead is flowing freely as medieval England rejoices in the summer glow of peace after many years of vicious in-fighting between the houses of York and Lancaster. Songs are sung and music plays in the cheerful court of King Edward…. But not for long!
Suspicions are roused, rumours are rife and murders are meticulously planned. Richard, Duke of Gloucester has avaricious intentions on his brother’s crown and his treachery makes Machiavelli look like Mickey Mouse.
Monstrous characters are brought outrageously to life amid the music, mayhem and comic chaos created by the multi-talented Oddsocks team. Another must-see production from this outstanding company who this year celebrate their twentieth year of successful productions.
You'd be a Shakespearean fool to miss out!
Bring a picnic and low-backed chairs or rugs; no seating provided. Refreshments (bar and coffee) available.
The performance will finish at 9.30pm.
