KATERINA CHROBOKOVÀ
11.30am Oundle School Chapel
Tickets £11 / £5 under 21s
Effervescent and popular Czech organist Katerina Chrobokovà – formerly an Oundle for Organists student and now an acclaimed solo artist – salutes her compatriot Petr Eben (d.2007), one of the foremost composers of the Czech Republic. Eben’s reputation extends well beyond his native country and his compelling works reach a wide audience.
Katerina’s varied and imaginative programme tracks numerous influences on Eben’s musical language – through thrilling movements by Marcel Dupré and Olivier Messiaen – and concludes with Eben’s spectacular Mutationes.
Live video link from the organ loft will enable the audience to see the performer.
The recital ends at 12.30pm.
Please join us across the road at the Festival Club for a complimentary coffee before the concert.
