Bach in the Dark
Lose yourself in the hypnotic and intricate world of
Bach’s organ music, as the sun goes down on another
packed Festival day. The colours of the Festival organ
at the Jesus Church well suit Bach’s music, and David
Sanger’s programme will explore JSB’s chorals, and
preludes and fugues. He concludes with the famous
Gigue Fugue.
David, playing at the top his game, was recently elected
as President of the Royal College of Organists. He
maintains his profile as one of the most admired
performers and generous outgoing personalities
on today’s organ scene; we are privileged to enjoy
his support as
consultant tutor to the Oundle for
Organists programme. This will be special!
Candlelight.
The recital ends at 10.45pm.
Live video link from the organ loft will enable
the audience to see the performer.
