The Preservation Hall Jazz Band is at the very heart of traditional
jazz and tonight there is an unmissable opportunity to hear this
world famous band perform in true New Orleans style. Performing
such Dixieland toe-tapping classics as ‘Basin Street Blues’,
‘When the Saints Go Marching In’ and ‘Bill Bailey’, the pull
of the dance-floor will be irresistible!
The Jives Aces - ‘the UK’s No 1 Jive and Swing Band’ – are making
a welcome return, having taken Oundle by storm in 2006. And
opening the celebrations is Redbeans ‘n’ Rice, a true marching
band (think of the band at the funeral in James Bond classic
‘Live and Let Die’), led by Grand Marshall Lenny Layt.
Free car-parking adjacent to concert site. Large dance floor;
bars (Pimms, wine, real ale), Oundle delicatessen, hog roast,
crepes stall, street entertainers – a fabulous night out under
the stars!

The performance ends at approximately 10.55pm
