Gitano is back by popular
demand, now bigger and better
than ever! Many will remember
their electrifying performance last
year; those who missed it
because of the performers’ late
arrival (due to their car breaking
down) have the opportunity to
hear this dynamic young band,
now comprising five members,
a new name (and a new car).
Moving through jazz,
gypsy,
hotclub, flamenco, classical
and even film influences, the
Collective touches upon the
influences and new arrangements
of works by such luminaries as
Paco de Lucia, Django Reinhardt,
Ennio Morricone.
This concert will
take place in a
marquee on the lawn behind the
NEW Festival club. Make it an
extra special event and order a
light lunch (from Smiths at No.4)
which will be served at 12 noon.
